Nithya Menen To Portray Actress Savitri In Her Biopic?

Director Nag Ashwin’s upcoming directorial venture has stunned the cinema industry. Nag has declared that his next project will be a biopic. The director, who shot to fame with ‘Yevade Subramanyam’, is inclined towards directing a film on legendary actress Savitri.

Rumours are doing the rounds that the 28-year-old actress, Nithya Menen, has been roped in to play the character of Savitri in her biopic. Some say that nobody else in the cinema industry can match Savitri Garu’s acting skills and looks with right attitude. The flick is touted to be titled ‘Mahanati’ which is the official prefix for Savitri in movies.

Savitri has acted alongside Legends NTR Senior and ANR. Therefore, it is anticipated that Nag Ashwin can ask either Yuvaratna Balakrishna or NTR Junior to reprise the role of NTR Senior and King Nagarjuna or Naga Chaitanya to reprise the role of ANR. There is no official announcement by the makers regarding the cast, but directorial venture Nag Ashwin is likely to be a perfect tribute to the veteran actress, Savitri.
