Nobody Up For ‘Akhil’ Satellite Rights

The debut film of Akhil Akkineni, ‘Akhil’ performed miserably at the box office. The producer of the film Nithin suffered a loss of more than Rs. 20 crore. Even the distributors suffered major losses and requested the makers to compensate them. The film has turned out to be a great disaster.

According to reports, the socio-fantasy has been such a dud that even satellite rights of the flick are not being taken by anyone. Sources reveal that none of the television channels are willing to bag the satellite rights of the V.V. Vinayak directorial. However, the producers are trying to sell the rights at a respectable price.

Reportedly, before the release of the film, a leading entertainment channel quoted Rs. 7 crore hoping to bag the satellite rights. But the makers refused to strike a deal and wanted minimum Rs. 10 crore to sell the rights. Now, the channels are quoting a very basic figure to which the makers cannot agree.
