‘Oopiri’ Getting Great Response Worldwide

Nagarjuna’s ‘Oopiri’ is having a dream run at the box office. The film hit the theatre screens on March 25 and turned out to be a great hit. It grossed Rs 29 crore at worldwide box office in its first weekend, and it is being said that its collection won’t suffer in the coming days.

The Vamsi Paidipally directorial bettered its first day openings by 71 percent on the second day in the U.S. Film critics like Taran Adarsh and Subhash K. Jha have lauded the flick and have tagged it as one of the best films in recent times. The positive talks about the film has persuaded countries like Botswana, Tanzania, Kenya and Thailand, which are not main centres for Telugu films, to screen the movie.

Reportedly, Forbes magazine has also stated that the film, which has been adapted from French movie ‘The Intouchables’, is doing a spectacular business in the U.S. as well. Also, it got a great response on the first day in Karnataka. It is being said by trade analysts that the dramedy film will continue to dominate in the summers.
