Padmapriya Janakiraman All Set To Return To Films

Actress-model Padmapriya Janakiraman forayed into the film industry with Tollywood film ‘Seenu Vasanthi Lakshmi’ (2003). The celebrated actress has received several major South Indian awards for her immense contribution in a number of Malayalam, Tamil, Telugu, Bengali, Kannada and Hindi films.

In Tollywood, the renowned heroine was last seen in ‘Andari Banduvaya’ (2010). She has been on a hiatus from acting since 2014, when she starred in Malayalam film ‘Iyobinte Pustakam’. Well, Padmapriya is all set to make a comeback in Jagapati Babu’s upcoming film 'Patel S.I.R'.

“She plays the female lead in the film, and the love interest of Jagapati Babu, who plays a very maverick role in the action thriller”, a source was quoted as saying. The source, who also revealed that the actress will be playing a doctor in the film, added, “The film’s director felt she would be perfectly suited for the role and would also bring a fresh appeal as she hasn’t been seen by the Telugu audience in a long time”.

On a related note, the movie will feature Jagapati Babu in a very different avatar. The flick has been generating interest ever since a teaser was released a couple of months back. The team has been shooting at locations in Goa and Hyderabad.
