Pawan Kalyan’s Katamarayudu released today and is expected to rule the box-office that Sardaar Gabbar Singh failed to do. The movie has created hype in the industry. Over sixteen low budget Telugu movies were released in last three weeks, however, the films were unable to earn as much money as they should have made. The theatres are now looking at the film with hope.
The film is expected to make big bucks. As per a source, “On the first day, we are expecting the collections to be anywhere between 35 crore and 40 crore”. As per the reports, a multiplex in the Kukatpally area is screening nearly 33 shows of the Pawan Kalyan starrer on the first day. Even other multiplexes are having more than 25 shows.
Till now, Chiranjeevi’s Khaidi No. 150 created records with its earnings and it is expected that Kalyan’s flick may beat that. The movie is a remake of Tamil film Veeram, although, there are certain changes in the film. The film also features Shruti Hassan as the female lead opposite Kalyan.
