Speaking about the charges, lead actor Jayam Ravi said, "I am actually surprised when I learnt about the controversy. The film does not have even a single scene against any religion. Except the crew, nobody has watched the film yet. If people watch it, they will understand that it is a different story. My name in the film is Adhi and that's why it is titled AadhiBhagavan. The producer and the director are currently discussing the issue and they will sort it out soon."

In his reaction, director Ameer said, "I have no plans of changing the film's title as of now and we hope to solve this issue as soon as possible. The film is a complete entertainer and will release in February as per schedule."
