Prasanth Varma To Helm Telugu Remake Of Queen?

After getting delay for a while, it now looks like that the Telugu remake of Vikas Bahl’s hit Bollywood film Queen will finally get underway and this time with a new director. The movie is taken up by Prashanth Varma, who made his debut with Awe. It is said that the producers really liked his work in Awe and they felt that a young director like him would be ideal to give this film the makeover that it needs.

Tamannaah is essaying the role of Kangana Ranaut in the movie and it has been facing one hiccup after another since it went on the floor. First, national award-winning director Neelakanta stepped back from the project due to creative differences with the makers. Also, actor-filmmaker Ramesh Aravind, who is helming the Tamil and Kannada versions of Queen, had initially agreed to helm the Telugu but he too walked out of the project midway.

And now, Prasanth Varma has been brought on board to finish the film and getting it ready for release this year. As per the rumours, Prasanth and Tamannaah seem to have similar sensibilities which made the makers see him as an ideal fit to complete the film. We only wish that things go well this time and we soon get to watch this one of the most-awaited movies of the year.
