Private Postal Stamps Launched On Nagarjuna’s Birthday

On the blessed occasion of the 57th birthday of Akkineni Nagarjuna, private stamps have been launched by his sons, Naga Chaitanya and Akhil. This is done to honour Nagarjuna’s song in Telugu romantic-drama ‘Nirmala Convent’. This is likely to be the actor’s first singing venture.

On this out of the ordinary launch of classified postal stamps, Nagarjuna says, “This is the biggest surprise of my life. I thank my fans and the industry for acknowledging me as a singer.” Reportedly, the stamp features a portrait of Nagarjuna as a singer. The Taj Mahal is also seen together with the actor in the stamp. Fascinatingly, a total of 10,000 postal stamps have been printed.

“This stamp articulates Telugu film industry’s music skills through the voice of versatile artist like Nagarjuna and his admiration for fine lyrics and music composition,” Nagarjuna’s sons Naga Chaitanya and Akhil said in a statement. Apparently, the stamps can be purchased from 12 noon today, August 29.
