Rahul Sankrityan’s Next With Vijay Devarakonda To Have A Newbie

Priyanka Jawalkar, who hails from Anantapur and is a Maharashtrian, is all set to make her big screen debut in Rahul Sankrityan’s upcoming movie which will feature Vijay Devarakonda as the male lead. Although this will be her debut movie but the 24-year-old also acted in a short film some four years ago. She was earlier approached by the director for ‘The End’ but things fell out of place as the actress was going to the US.

“When I did short films, I wasn’t sure if this was the career I wanted. It was something new and interesting, so I took it up. It was through Facebook that Subhash Chandra of MR Productions (a well-known short filmmaking team) approached me, and asked if I’d like to act. Both Raj Tarun and Chandini who did several films with them had become very famous by then and Uyyala Jampala (starring Raj Tarun) was launched. I took the chance,” said the actress who has an engineering degree in computer science.

The actress who also holds a Diploma in fashion and clothing from NIFT, Hyderabad has not only acted in the movie but has also styled her clothes. “They liked the clothes I was wearing in a few of our meetings and it was eventually decided that I style myself.” The actress said that she was so gratified of being paired up with such a wonderful actor who made her comfortable and was always there for advice.
