Rajesh Touchriver is back on the sets with a director’s hat. After directing the award winning film Naa Bangaru Talli in 2013, the filmmaker is all set to helm another project with actress Madhu Shalini in it. Na Bangaaru Talli won four Nandi awards (from the state of Andhra Pradesh), the National Film Award for Best Feature Film in Telugu, Best Music Direction (Background Score), and five international awards and therefore, hopes are high with his next directorial.

Rajesh’s next project in the line is titled Raktham and will be a naxal drama. The actress will be playing the role of a maoist in the film. At a recent media interaction, the actress said, “I was waiting for a challenging role and when the director Rajesh narrated the script and offered the role to play maoist in the movie, I said yes without any second thought. I will be seen playing Maya, a gold medalist, who turns into a naxal”.

Since the role is not an easy one, the actress is under severe training for preparing for the role. She added, “I had to go through months of research and training on Maoists. We would have 8 hours long workshops at director Rajesh’s office everyday where we would debate about the history of naxalism, and their ideology etc”.
