Ram tries his hand at commercial film with Thanga Meengal

Shedding the tag of an off-beat filmmaker, Ram has come up with a commercialentertainer, Thanga Meengal, this time. The movie, which stars the noted filmmaker himself in the leadrole, will most probably be released in mid-May by producer Gautham Menon, according to sources.The director-actor said, "Though the film will convey a message, it will be a feel-good movie with allnecessary commercial ingredients. I am hopeful that Thanga Meengal will be enjoyed by one andall". "The film will throw light on the current school education system and the need to do changes in it.I play the father of a school going girl child and Padma Priya is doing a crucial character," Ram added.Producer Gautham was so impressed by Rams Katradhu Thamizh that he asked him to direct a film forhis production company and the latter obliged.
