    Rana Daggubati will be seen in an all new avtar for his next. The Baahubali actor will be seen portraying the role of a naval officer in the yet to be titled film. The flick will be helmed by 31-year-old Sankalp Reddy and will mark his debut as a director.

    The story revolves around an executive naval officer of the Indian submarine ‘S21’ and his team, who remained underwater for 18 days. It will be exploring the events which lead to the sinking of ‘PNS Ghazi’, a Pakistan-deployed submarine during the 1971 Indo-Pak war. The film will be partially based on the book ‘Blue Fish’, penned by Sankalp himself. 

    A source close to the actor revealed to IANS, “Rana really liked the story and has given his in principle nod. Sankalp is currently giving final touches to the script. The pre-production work has already begun and the team plans to start shooting soon”. The film will be made under the banner of PVP Cinema and will be India's first submarine warfare movie. According to the source, renowned actor Prakash Raj has been approached to play a pivotal role in the film. He added that the lead role was initially offered to Rajeev Khandelwal, but now the Krishnam Vande Jagadgurum actor will be seen playing the role of a naval officer.
