"The makers have chosen Rana, while Sri Divya has replaced Samantha," says an insider. When contacted Rana Daggubati, his manager, Viren Thambidorai confirmed to media, "Yes, he will be doing the film."

The Malayalam version of Bangalore Days written and directed by Anjali Menon, features an ensemble cast consisting of Nazriya Nazim, Fahadh Faasil, Nivin Pauly, Dulquer Salmaan, Isha Talwar, Parvathy Menon and Nithya Menen in significant roles. Sources further suggest that Arya will portray Dulquer Salmaan's character while Simhaa will essay the role of Nivin Pauly.

Talking about the Tamil remake, sources have previously revealed, "The film, being directed by Bommarillu Bhaskar, will be shot from March 20 in Chennai. The team is likely to go to Singapore for the second schedule as the makers have planned to set the story in Singapore instead of Bangalore. Santhosh Narayanan will compose music for the film."
