Rashmi Gautam Roped In For A Comedy Drama

Actress Rashmi Gautam has been roped in to play a prominent role in her next movie which is believed to be a comedy. The movie is directed by ETV Prabhakar and will have Aadi playing the lead. “The film is touted to be a comedy and is shaping up very well,” said a source close to the team.

The source further added, “Allu Sirish was supposed to star in the film earlier, but on second thoughts Aadi replaced him, The yet-to-be titled film has been jointly produced by two leading production houses, UV Creations  and Geetha Arts. This is the first time that the actress is working in a comedy drama. She has earlier worked in an adult comedy and a horror film.

Though Rashmi has acted in several films, but gained popularity after starring in a Telugu adult crime comedy Guntur Talkies which was directed by Praveen Sattaru. Apart from her, the movie also featured Naresh, Siddu Jonnalagadda in the lead roles. She is also famous for hosting Telugu television comedy shows Jabardasth and Extra Jabardasth.
