The project was set to kick-start soon, but now the director has been replaced.

According to reports, S. J. Surya has been replaced by director Kishore Kumar Pardasani who worked with the Powerstar in ‘Gopala Gopala’. A source revealed that S. J. Surya is being offered lot of acting projects lately, and that is why he was replaced from the venture. The source said, "Director S.J. Surya recently received high acclaim for his performance as an actor in the Tamil film 'Iraivi'. Post release of Iraivi Surya has been receiving many offers in Tamil and Telugu as an actor".

Reportedly, the filmmaker tried to adjust the shooting dates for his film with the Atharintiki Daaredi actor. But things did not work out and the director was replaced with mutual consent. The pre-production work of the film will now be headed by Kishore Kumar Pardasani and the film is expected to go on floors in the last week of July.
