Savitri Biopic To Hit The Theatres On May 9

Mahanti is one of the most awaited biopics that people are waiting for. It is based on the life of South Indian actress Savitri. The movie was earlier scheduled for a release on March 30, however, it is now postponed.

Makers have now announced that the film will hit the theatres on May 9. A new poster of the film has also been released by the makers on the occasion of Ugadi festival. Touted to be a high-budgeted film, it will be simultaneously made in Telugu and Tamil.

Actress Keerthy Suresh has been roped in to play the role of Savitri in the film. Malayali actor Dulquer Salmaan will play her husband, Gemini Ganesan, in the biopic. The film also has Samantha Akkineni in the role of a film journalist. Actors like Vijay Deverakonda , Shalini Pandey and Prakash Raj will also be seen in key roles.
