Shamili Makes Comeback In Tollywood With Sundar Surya’s Film

Actress Shamili, who made a mark in the film industry with her acting as a child artist had made her debut as a female lead in the year 2009 with the film Oye. She also won the CineMAA Award for Best Female Debut for the film. Later she starred in a Malayalam and a Tamil film in the year 2015 and 2016 respectively.

However, according to the latest updates, the actress is all set to make a comeback in Tollywood very soon. The film, which has been titled Amamma Gari Illu, is said to have Naga Shaurya in the lead role. And Shamili will be portraying his love interest in the film and has been roped in to play the girl-next-door. Moreover, Shamili is famous for her role in Mani Ratnam’s Anjali.

A source in the know revealed, “She has been shooting for the film since a while now and her character is shaping up pretty well. She’s undergone a complete makeover since the days of Oye! It will be a revelation for the audience who haven’t seen her in a long while. She has been quite excited about the role she plays in the film. She’s going to be seen in a simple avatar. What will be more striking is her character who is very believable and real”. The film is being directed by Sundar Surya and will hit the screens during summer this year.
