Shruti to sing a peppy number for Aagadu!

Well, it seems that actress, singer and musician Shruti Haasan's career is on an upswing with back to back hits! Not only her exceptional acting skills, south beauty Shruti has also impressed movie-buffs with her melodious voice. She has sung in various Bollywood and Kollywood films and composed music for a Tamil flick Unnaipol Oruvan starring her dad Kamal Haasan. Now we will also listen Shruti singing to the tunes of a Telugu song. The actress has reportedly lent her voice for her upcoming flick Aagadu.

Aagadu director Srinu Vaitla is going all gaga about Shruti Haasan. The filmmaker took to a social networking site to praise the actress. Vaitla tweeted, "Shooting a special song today with the very special and multi talented Sruthi Hassan (sic). Not only a great dancer but also a superb singer. Thank you for singing for this special song."

Aagadu features Tollywood superstar Mahesh Babu and doe-eyed actress Tamannaah in the lead roles. The film also stars Sonu Sood, Rajendra Prasad, Brahmaji, Brahmanadam in significant roles and Shruti Haasan in a peppy number. Written by Anil Ravipudi, Upendra Madhav and Praveen Varma and produced by Ram Achanta, Gopichand Achanta and Anil Sunkara, the action comedy flick is all set to hit the screens on September 19.
