Director Bheemaneni Srinivasa Rao has roped in actress Chitra Shukla to play a lead role next to Allari Naresh, in an upcoming movie ‘Silly Fellows’. In the year 2017, the actress made her debut with the movie ‘Maa Abbayi’. According to the sources, ‘Silly Fellows’ is said to be a remake of the Tamil film ‘Thamizh Padam 2.0’.

Speaking about her character in the film, Chitra told Times of India, “In my earlier films, I played girl-next-door characters. This film is a break from that. You will see me as a village girl, Vasanthi, who aspires to become a police officer and work in her own village. Vasanthi is a very confident girl who knows exactly what she wants in life.” “I’m thrilled at getting to share screen space with Allari Naresh. It’s a great learning opportunity,” she added.

As per the makers, ‘Silly Fellows’ will hit the theatres in June this year. Also, Sunil will be seen in a key role in the film. Moreover, it is produced jointly by Viswa Prasad and Vivek Kuchibotla.
