Singeetam Srinivasa Rao Talks About ‘Aditya 999’

Balakrishna is busy shooting for his 100th film ‘Gautamiputra Satakarni’. Before the commencement of the film, rumours were doing the rounds that the 100th film of the actor will be ‘Aditya 999’, sequel of hit 1991 film ‘Aditya 369’. However, director Krish managed to bag the landmark project of Balayya.

Movie buffs wanted to know what happened to ‘Aditya 999’. Yesterday, ‘Aditya 369’ celebrated its 25th anniversary. On the occasion, director Singeetam Srinivasa Rao cleared that the sequel of the film is still on. He said, "I was to direct it as his 100th movie.  But eventually Gautamiputra Satakarni happened.  It doesn't mean that the project is shelved.  I will do it with Balakrishna whenever he is ready.  The story board is ready.  It's true that Mokshagna has a very interesting role for him in the script".

Many people doubt the director’s ability to deliver a hit with a big star. He has not worked with a big hero since Kamal Haasan’s ‘Mumbai Express’. Moreover, the genre sci-fi has evolved a lot since the release of ‘Aditya 369’. It will be interesting to watch how he deals with all these hurdles.
