Sukumar Talks About Kumari 21F

Sukumar’s work was recently seen in Kumari 21F, the screenplay of which he was responsible for. He revealed that he was inspired for the story through an incident that took place in his college days. Sukumar states that Kumari 21F is a family film despite the ‘A’ rating.

He revealed, “A girl from my college had gone for a picnic with a few other guys. It was a big deal for a girl to hang out with guys back then. No one knew what really happened in the picnic, but many rumours started doing the rounds and people started tagging her as "loose". It stayed with me”.

Talking about the A rating, Sukumar said, “Even a father was once a young boy. I think this story gives him the space to both identify with his feelings as a young man and to understand what his son or daughter might be going through”. Sukumar has written and produced Kumari 21F.
