Sukumar’s Nephew Ashok's Debut Movie ‘Darsakudu’ Releasing Soon!

Tollywood filmmaker Sukumar’s nephew Ashok is all prepared to make his debut on the silver screen. The debutant will be seen in the upcoming movie ‘Darsakudu’. The movie is helmed by Hari Prasad.

Regarding the new actor’s fresh start in the world of cinema, the debutant revealed that he has previously worked as an assistant director with his uncle Sukumar for 1 Nenokkadine, which starred Mahesh Babu. Ashok was quoted as saying, “I was never interested in acting, but wanted to direct”. The actor further said, “My uncle’s friend, Hari Prasad narrated, a story to him, which he liked very much. Once the bound script was ready, Sukumar asked him to direct the film. Hari Prasad then wanted to rope me in as the lead actor”.

The actor also revealed on how he stumbled upon the profession of acting, he was quoted as saying, “I was surprised with their decision because I wanted to direct a film, but Hari Prasad made me switch to acting. Later, I shed eight kilos, changed my look and did a lot of rehearsals and workshops. My experience as an assistant director helped me overcome camera fear”. ‘Darsakudu’ is about a love story between a director and a fashion designer. The movie will release on August 4, 2017.
