Tamil-Telugu remake planned for Bollywood blockbuster 2 States

A remake of 2 States is being planned which will be reportedly a bilingual one, to be remade in both Tamil and Telugu. Now speculations have begun who will play Alia Bhatt’s Ananya in the remake, Shruti Haasan, Samantha Ruth Prabhu or Tamannaah Bhatia, the A-listers down South.

Since the news about the remake broke out this is the biggest question going on, who will be the leading lady in the film. It has been also learnt that a South based production house has purchased the remake rights of the film. 2 States is an adaptation of a novel by Chetan Bhagat with the same name. It revolves around a Punjabi boy and a Tamil Brahmin girl who fall in love with each other and decide to get married with the consent of their families.

The film shows how the couple convince their families to overcome their cultural differences to make their dream come true. 2 States was released in April and crossed the 100-crore mark at the box-office.
