With piracy being nothing less like a termite to filming industry worldwide, the Telangana government has come to the rescue of its filmmakers. In an action plan, the authorities are considering to sign a bilateral agreement with the United States. This will help the Telugu film makers to put curb on privacy.

"A bilateral agreement will help us get through to the authorities there to apprehend the culprits and also take action against those who run the servers," A. Raj Kumar, head of the anti-piracy wing said. With age of android enabled smartphones, people are watching movies on their cellphone just after a day of release with decent quality.

As per the stats, 67 percent of the websites that offer pirated version of Telugu flicks operate overseas. And this does not allow the film industry to take action even as they face major revenue losses due to this. With the finalizing of this agreement, the anti-piracy wing of the Telugu Film Chamber of Commerce (TFCC) and the CID of Telangana police will be able to coordinate with the authorities in the U.S. and Europe.
