This Newbie To Make Debut Opposite Akhil Akkineni

Much has been written and said about Akhil Akkineni’s second film under the direction of Vikram Kumar. The last we heard about the film was that it is in trouble as the makers are unable to zero in on a leading lady opposite Akhil. Now, seems like the hunt for the female lead has come to an end.

If reports are to be believed, Kalyani Priyadarshan has been approached opposite Akhil. Kalyani is the daughter of filmmaker Priyadarshan and veteran actress Lissy. Lissy confirmed the news by saying, “Yes, it is true that she has been roped in for the movie. But, the makers are yet to make an official statement. It is too early to reveal anything about her part in the film”.

Earlier, several names including Sridevi’s daughter Khushi Kapoor and Alia Bhatt were rumoured to be a part of the project. But with this confirmation, we now know who bagged the role. Helmed by Vikram Kumar, the flick will be bankrolled by Akhil’s father Nagarjuna. Tollywood actor Ajay will pull off a grey character in the flick.
