Title Of Mani Ratnam’s ‘Kaatru Veliyidai’ Changed In Telugu!

Mani Ratnam is a maestro filmmaker. He has given several romantic blockbusters. Currently, he is awaiting the release of ‘Kaatru Veliyidai’. This film is being made in Telugu as well. This version was initially termed as ‘Duet’.

However, the latest buzz is that the title of the movie has been recently changed. The new title of the Telugu version of ‘Kaatru Veliyidai’ is ‘Cheliyaa’. The original flick features Karthi and Aditi Rao Hydari in the lead roles.

Sources have revealed that ‘Cheliyaa’ will be releasing in the last week of March 2017. A. R. Rahman has scored the film’s music in both the versions. Veteran producer Dil Raju is releasing the Telugu version of ‘Kaatru Veliyidai’. There are reports that this movie is inspired by a poem by 20th century poet Subramania Bharati. Interestingly, versatile cinematographer Ravi Varman, who worked for ‘Barfi!’ and ‘Goliyon Ki Rasleela Ram-Leela’ is handling the camerawork.
