    Tollywood actress Neethu Agarwal granted bail

    Telugu actress Neethu Agarwal who was arrested by Andhra Pradesh Police in Kurnool in connection of having links with the smuggling of red sanders, has been granted bail. Allagadda sessions court granted her conditional bail. "The actress has been booked on charges of criminal conspiracy under IPC and other relevant sections of Forest Act for conspiring with the smugglers of the precious wood," Kurnool Superintendent of Police A. Ravi Krishna said.

    The 27-year-old actress is the live-in partner of K. Mastan Vali. Mastan is a film producer and YSRCP leader. He was arrested on April 13 in connection with the case. Over one lakh rupees were transferred from the account of the actress to the account of one of the alleged smugglers.

    The actress also claimed that she was married to Vali, and was a victim of domestic violence. The police had planned to take her into custody for further interrogation. But, the court has granted her conditional bail. She has been directed to report to Rudravaram police every Sunday.
