Turning out to be most expensive, jewellery used costs Rs. 5 crores

Director Gunasekhar’s Rudramadevi is created on a budget of Rs. 550 million which grades it among the films that have spent this much fund on a heroine oriented movie down South. The latest news about the flick is this that the jewellery used in it is worth Rs. 5 crores. Since it’s a period film, the maker knows that ornaments will also play the key role in the movie.

Gunasekhar said, “Jewellery worth over Rs.5 crores is being used in the making of Rudhramadevi to bring extreme authenticity to the character's makeup & dressing.” The film is slated to be out in June, this year. It will feature Anushka Shetty, Rana Daggubati, Prakash Raj, Madhumitha and Krishnam Raju in the lead roles.
