    Veteran Telugu Actor J.V. Ramana Murthi Dies Of Heart Disease

    Tollywood veteran J.V. Ramana Murthi has passed away in hospital while receiving treatment on his heart ailment. The superstar who has worked in over 150 movies breathed his last on June 22 at Banjara Hills, Hyderabad. The news of his sad demise was announced by Chitramala first.

    The star was born in Vizianagaram district and from very beginning, was inclined towards acting and participated in several school playlets. Murthi was the younger brother of J. V. Somayajulu. He started his filming career at the age of 24 with socio-political flick M. L. A. in 1957.

    Some of his popular movies are Maangalya Balam, Baatasari, Maro Charitra, Siri Siri Muvva, Gorintaku, Guppedu Manasu, Idhi Kadha Kadu, Subhodayam, Aakali Rajyam and Subhalekha. The last time he appeared in a movie was in Shankar Dada Zindabad.
