Will Akhil Be Able To Pass The Test His Dad Couldn't Clear?

In 1986, Nagarjuna’s ‘Captain Nagarjuna’ was released. The title had the name of the superstar, but the movie failed to impress the audiences. Now his son, Akhil Akkineni is making his debut in Tollywood, and title of the movie is ‘Akhil’.

 The star son is gearing up for the release of the movie, which will hit the theatre screens on October 21, on the occasion of Dussehra. There are a lot of expectations from the movie and it has already garnered a lot of attention. If the flick, which’s title is also the name of the actor, turns out to be a hit, then Akhil would pass the test unlike his dad, whose yesteryear film ‘Captain Nagarjuna’, bombed at the box office.

The film will feature Sayesha Saigal in female lead role. It has been helmed by ace director V.V. Vinayak and has been bankrolled by actor-producer Nithin. Now it is to be seen whether Akhil is able to create an impact in the Tollywood with his debut film or not.
