Writer Threatens To Disrupt Shooting Of Chiranjeevi’s 150th Film?

Chiranjeevi’s 150th film seems to have landed itself in trouble. To be produced by his son Ram Charan, the yet-to-be titled movie is a remake of Tamil blockbuster flick ‘Kaththi’. According to a TOI report, writer M. Narasimha Rao has threatened the makers that he would disrupt the shooting, which is scheduled to commence from May 2, if the due credit is not given to him. Rao has claimed that his story has been used and he has not been given due credit or remuneration for the same.

Narasimha Rao told the leading daily, “Director V V Vinayak called me and said he would settle my issue. What matters to me is getting due credit for my story. I had registered my story with the writers association and it was also verified. Though director Vinayak called me, he is yet to give me any assurance that I would get the credit for the story”.

He added that remuneration is not the primary issue. “I have left it to the associations to decide what remuneration I should get. I am not making any demand in so far as the amount is concerned. But I should get the story credit and it should appear on the screen”, he said and added, “Since director V V Vinayak has personally assured to settle the matter, we will wait for a couple of days. In so far as I am concerned, I will not compromise on my demand”. M. Narasimha Rao has also approached A P Film Industry Employees Federation to resolve the issue.
