One of the most handsome and incredibly talented actors of Bollywood , Saif A li Khan has had quite a dry spell ever since his films such as Kaalakaandi, Baazaar and Laal Kaptaan tanked at the Box Office. Well, his latest release Jawaani Jaaneman is sure to make up for the loss because the stud of Hindi cinema is back in full form. Directed by Nitin Kakkar and written by Hussain and Abbas Dalal, the comedy drama is a true masterpiece and tickles almost every human emotion. Also starring Tabu in an important role, the film marks Pooja Bedi’s daughter Alaya F urniturewala’s Bollywood debut and the young beauty has proven that she’s here to slay.

Jawaani Jaaneman follows the story of a 50 year old rockstar who refuses to grow old or responsible. He has the lifestyle that most men crave for and has zero plans of getting married or having kids. However, his life goes off path when the girl he picks up at the bar turns out to be his daughter! Well, she and her mother (Tabu) are almost sure. While Saif has done a wonderful job and will definitely leave his female fans drooling over the playboy image, his dad jokes make you feel a little sorry for him. He has basically done justice to his character and no other actor could have done the job better. Alaya, on the other hand, is a delight to watch on the silver screen. Her superb expressions, impeccable dialogue delivery and comic timing left us wondering if this really is her debut.

The only setback of the cinematic experience would definitely be Tabu’s limited screen time. She is an incredibly versatile actress and could surely be the star of the comedy drama had she gotten a bigger role. However, she managed to leave us in awe yet again and proved that she has the ability to portray any character the script demands.

Coming to the storyline, it is unique and absolutely fresh! Plus, it’s pretty realistic and won’t make you think, “Arre yeh toh sirf movies mein hota hai.” Well, the chances of something like this happening are less, but it sure is believable. The small side plots in the comedy are also pretty interesting and keeps the audience hooked, not stretching the story unnecessarily. A good example of this is Saif’s relationship with his hairstylist, played by Kubbra Sait. It’s so cute!

While the actors have done a truly wonderful job, the camera angles and mind-blowing dialogues deserve due credit. Saif’s final monologue, especially, will leave you mesmerized! All in all, Jawaani Jaaneman is a must watch. It not only entertains the audience, but also makes us realize the importance of family and love in this fast paced lifestyle that most of us live. A complete paisa vasool!
