Ms. Marvel Episode 2 Review - Kamala Khan's superhero origin story continues to be fun and quirky
    Updated : June 15, 2022 04:12 PM IST

The second episode picks up with Kamala Khan exploring her new powers with the help of her best friend Bruno, and like most superhero origin stories she struggles to master her powers.

While the series so far does follow the usual beats of an origin story, the showrunners are self-aware and add their own uniqueness to it.

Iman Vellani continues to impress, she is likable and charismatic and the Marvel Studio should double what they are paying their casting department.

The episode also sets up Kamala Khan's larger role in the MCU .

What doesn't work for the episode is the teased love triangle, which the episode thankfully does not linger on too much. But hopefully, the show will avoid this story arc because this is the usual cliche a lot of movies and shows with female leads fall into.

And is a lame excuse for character development, Kamala Khan is interesting on her own.

The supporting cast does a great job, The Bollywood references and music used in the series work well, and it does feel good to be represented in a big franchise like Marvel.

it will be interesting to see how the series will connect Kamal Khan into the fourth phase of the MCU, in the comics Kamala has connections to The Avengers and The X-Men.

The show continues to intrigue and hopefully, it will maintain the same quality in the upcoming episodes.
