Ms. Marvel Episode 3 Review - Despite some generic writing the latest episode is solid

The third episode of Ms. Marvel directed by Meera Nair picks up right where the show ended last time and we get to know more about the history of the mysterious bangle.

Kamala is shocked to learn her true family heritage from Kamran's mother.

While Kamaran and his family present themselves as friends, it is clear to anyone who watches superhero movies that there will be a double-cross at some point.

Thankfully the show does not waste too much time getting there but generic plot elements like this are littered throughout the episode.

This is a shame as the cast of the show is great to watch and has great chemistry, so the writers really should kick it up a notch.

Also, the fight scenes in the episode felt really subpar, It wasn't as bad as the Iron Fist season one but it was really noticeable and failed to create any tension.

Despite these issues, the episode does have charm thanks to a great performance from Iman Vellani who is very natural with her performance and endures you to Kamala Khan as a person.

Another cool aspect I enjoyed was how the show is connecting itself with the larger plot of the MCU .

As I said in my review of the second episode it is hinted here as well that Kamala Khan and her powers are similar to Shang-Chi, we will have to wait as the show progress to find out if this pans out.

so the third episode is an ok watch and hopefully, the show picks up the pace in the fourth episode which will stream on June 29th.

Ms. Marvel is currently streaming on Disney+
