    Apple TV developing new live action Godzilla series with Legendary Pictures

    A new live-action series set in Legendary Studio's 'Monsterverse' is in the early stages of development, the show will be a spin-off of the studio's recent King Kong and Godzilla movies and is co-produced by Apple TV.

    Fans last saw Godzilla battle, King Kong, last year in Godzilla vs. Kong despite mixed receptions from critics the movie went on to earn over 400 million dollars at the box office worldwide.

    The series is set after the events of the movie and will focus on the other titans and how humanity is trying to survive in a world filled with monsters.

    The official synopsis of the series which has been revealed reads -

    "Following the thunderous battle between Godzilla and the Titans that leveled San Francisco and the shocking new reality that monsters are real, the series explores one family's journey to uncover its buried secrets and a legacy linking them to the secret organization known as Monarch."

    While fans are excited by the new announcement, we still don't know when we get to see Godzilla on the big screen again.

    Adam Wingard director of Godzilla Vs King Kong has said that he has plans for a sequel that will focus on the son of Godzilla and is in talks with Legendary studios about the project.

    The new series will be helmed by Chris Black known for his work in shows like Star Trek and Outcast joining him will be famous comic book writer Matt Fraction

    So we can look forward to hearing more news about the show soon and hopefully get to see some epic monster battles as well.
