Could Ahsoka Tano have a surprise cameo in The Mandalorian season 3?

    According to a new Instagram post by actress Rosario Dawson who plays Ahsoka Tano in the Star Wars universe, she could be making a return to the series for the third season as well.

    The actress made her debut in the series in the third episode of season 2. The appearance of the character in the third season could be possibly set up for the spinoff Ahsoka series which is currently in production.

    The show will focus on Ahsoka Tano's search for the young Jedi Ezra Bridger, who allowed himself to be captured alongside the series' main antagonist Grand Admiral Thrawn in the series finale of the Star Wars Rebels series.

    The cast of the show includes Rosario Dawson, Natasha Liu Bordizzo, Hayden Christensen, Eman Esfandi, Ivanna Sakhno, and Mary Elizabeth Winstead.

    Meanwhile, the third season of the Mandalorian is currently streaming on Dinsey+. In the third season Mando aka Din Djarin and his ward Grogu head to the dangerous wastelands of the planet Mandalore.

    There are also being chased by the remnants of the Empire, who are still after Grogu, though their motivations remain unclear.

    The third season will consist of eight episodes all of which have been written by showrunners Dave Filoni, Jon Favreau, and Noah Kloor.

    The eight episodes will be directed by Rick Famuyiwa, Rachel Morrison, Lee Isaac Chung, Carl Weathers, Peter Ramsey, and Bryce Dallas Howard.

    There is also a rumor floating around that there will be a big reference to the iconic Star Wars villain Darth Maul in the third season. 

    Moff Gideon played by Giancarlo Esposito will be returning as the main antagonist in the third season despite being captured by Luke Skywalker in the season 2 finale.

    Currently, the third season of The Mandalorian has an 85% critic score and 77 audience score on Rotten Tomatoes. The cast of the show includes Pedro Pascal, Katee Sackhoff, Carl Weathers, Amy Sedaris, Emily Swallow, and Giancarlo Esposito.

    The First three episodes of The Mandalorian season 3 are currently streaming on Disney+, with new episodes every Wednesday.
