Exclusive: Mandana Karimi talks about host Kangana Ranaut; feels Lock Upp was a tougher game than Bigg Boss

Soon after beginning her journey as an actress with films like Roy and Bhaag Johnny, the gorgeous Mandana Karimi entered Salman Khan ’s reality show Bigg Boss season 9. She gave the other contestants a tough competition and emerged as the second runner up. So when she entered Kangana Ranaut hosted Lock Upp as a wildcard this year, fans had high expectations from the actress. She made headlines, performed well during tasks and had a gala time in Ekta Kapoor’s celebrity prison. But on day 49 of the show, Mandana was shown the doors.

Well, in an exclusive interview with Desimartini post her elimination, Mandana shared her honest opinion about host Kangana, who made her digital debut with Lock Upp. The Kyaa Kool Hain Hum 3 actress stated, “I think she’s doing a fabulous job and you know, the fact that this show has been so well-received by audience and they have you know, broke so many records and I think she’s a fabulous host and it’s amazing to see such shows being hosted by a woman. And I think she’s doing an amazing job.”

Initially when Lock Upp was announced, the format was compared to that of Bigg Boss. Talking about the same, Mandana shared, “I think before entering the show I thought the same thing. I thought you know it’s going to be similar to Bigg Boss, but it’s not. It’s an absolutely different show, different format, different way of approaching a reality show and the format of the show is very different. And before entering the show I thought that I have done a reality show before and this could be a cake walk for me, but it’s not that. And yeah they are completely different shows.”

She concluded that Lock Upp is a tougher game show than Bigg Boss.
