Poonam Pandey had grabbed several eyeballs for her stint on Lock Upp . Even though the contestant was evicted a few days before the finale, she was hailed as one of the most popular contestants on the show. In an exclusive chat with Desimartini, Poonam spoke about showcasing her real self on the show and hurling abuses at her co-contestants during her fights with them.

The actress-model was often seen hurling a string of abuses at her co-contestants during her ugly fights with the. Speaking on the same, the Nasha actress said, “I thought that, yeah (laughs). They were just making me so angry, what would I do? I was like guys, shut the f**k up! Honestly, to tell you, I did this just for my fans. I did this for the show and just wanted to give whatever and however kind of entertainment possible from my side. Yes, at a point, I regretted that because, in my real life, I don't give abuse. I've often seen my friends looking cool when they're giving abuses so I thought why not try that (laughs). I know this sounds very stupid but this is the reality.”

Apart from this, Poonam Pandey spoke about being herself on the show and not getting into fights and over strategizing like some of her other co-contestants. The Journey Of Karma actress said, “Being yourself is the best game you can play, not only in Lock Upp but in real life as well which many people don't do. When you say non-problematic, that's me in real life also. My staff has been with me for so many years and they love me to the core. They themselves want to do things for me and now this is not my strategy right? The only reason why I wanted to be in the show, is that I wanted people to know the real me. I've often read some comments about me which are really hurtful and I always thought, 'Why do people write like that about me?' because I don't go out and say things like that. You take care of my bread and I'll take care of my bread so why am I being judged? Those questions often pop up in my head but I'm grateful to Lock Upp because now people are not treating me like an alien (laughs). I know to leave after reaching so close to the finale is painful but I'm not feeling too bad because my main trophy was people knowing the real me and that they did.”

Poonam Pandey was eliminated after the last arena task after she lost the duel to Saisha Shinde. However, Poonam was bid a grand farewell for her successful stint on the show. She also revealed her best moment in the show to be her elimination.
