Exclusive- Shefali Shah can't wait to return as Vartika in Delhi Crime season 2, reveals she's done shooting for it

Shefali Shah began her journey as an actor with Gujarati theatre before shifting to Indian television. She later made her debut in Bollywood with a cameo in Rangeela before making her breakthrough as an artist with Satya . Shefali went on to give spectacular performances in films like Waqt : The Race Against Time and Dil Dhadakne Do , but it was her 2019 web series Delhi Crime which became a turning point in her career. The beauty had stated that her performance in the gritty crime drama convinced filmmakers to cast her in leading roles.

Shefali Shah Says Delhi Crime Was Not An Easy Show To Do, Couldn't Stop Screaming As Its Emmy Win Was Announced 

Well on the third anniversary of Delhi Crime, Desimartini caught up with Shefali for an exclusive chat about the next and much awaited season. When asked for an update, Shah joked, “Well, if you get to know, let me know.” However, she continued to say, “But well, we are hoping that sometime soon they’ll announce it or.. I’m actually waiting for it as much as the audiences. I’m waiting for Vartika to come back.” That’s not all! Shefali went on to confirm, “We’ve shot DC (Delhi Crime) already.”

Also starring Rasika Dugal and Adil Hussain , Delhi Crime is based on the 2012 Delhi gang rape when a 22-year-old girl was beaten, gang-raped and tortured in a private bus while travelling with her male friend. It features Shefali as Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) Vartika Chaturvedi, who left us with goose bumps as she set out to find the culprits behind this heinous crime.

Currently Shefali is busy winning hearts with her performance in the recently released film Jalsa, alongside Vidya Balan .
