House of The Dragon actor hints at bigger role House Lannister will play in the season

    Actor Jefferson Hall who plays twins Jason and Tyland Lannister teases the larger role the Lannisters will play in the season.

    In the third episode, Tyland Lannister made his appearance as a potential candidate to marry princess, Princess Rhaenys Targaryen.

    The Lannisters played a vital role in Game of Thrones and while they only had a little screen time in the prequel series actor Jefferson Hall hinted that House Lannister will play a bigger role in the upcoming episodes.

    Speaking to Entertainment Tonight, Hall opens up about what upcoming House of the Dragon episodes and seasons.

    “This is a story about the Targaryens. And the Lannisters do play a strong role in it, but not from the offset. [Fans need] to be patient as far as that’s concerned. Because they are introduced to the story… and they are supporting that story. That’s not to say they don’t have a very strong, pivotal role within it as time goes on, but to begin with, for sure, it’s gonna be a waiting game.”

    In the original series House, Lannister was a major power player in Westeros, and while that may not be the case in the prequel.

    The actor's statement could mean that we will get to see how the Lannisters became one of the most powerful families in Westeros.

    The House of The Dragon is one of many Game of Thrones spinoff's in development at HBO, including a Jon Snow spinoff and a series based on Corlys Velaryon a.k.a. the Sea Snake, known as the greatest seafarer in the history of GOT's Seven Kingdoms.

    Both of which are the furthest along in devolvement.
