    The first season of Loki set after the events of Avengers: Endgame saw the god of mischief being arrested by the mysterious Time Variance Authority who are tasked with maintaining the timeline. Loki is forced to team up with TVA agent Mobius M. Mobius played by Owen Wilson in this series.

    The two have to stop an evil version of the Loki played by Sophia Di Martino who wants to destroy the timeline and wreck havoc on the universe.

    Loki which aired on Disney + last year was a huge success earning praise for its acting, writing, visual effects, and musical score and a second season has already been greenlit.

    According to a new report from Deadline Moon Kinght directors, Justin Benson & Aaron Moorhead have been brought in to direct the majority of the six episodes of season 2 of Loki and production will start later this year.

    Justin Benson & Aaron Moorhead's upcoming Marvel show Moon Knight is set to stream on Disney+Hotsar in March and is said to be a limited series. However, Marvel Studios were so impressed by the work of the two directors that they asked them to join Loki season 2.

    While we don't know how many members of the original cast will be returning for season two but we do know that the show will deal with the consequences of destroying the timeline and Loki will have to face off Kang the Conqueror.
