The Fame Game which will arrive next week on Netflix is about a popular actress who goes missing and in the light of her absence several details about her past come to light as the police go looking for clues to be able to find her.

Madhuri while talking to Mid-Day said that similarities that many stories go around about the lives of celebrities and the story of the Fame Game seems to present actor’s in such light but is not always how they are in real life.

“Anamika’s equation with her family — be it with her husband or mother — is different from mine. She is a fictitious character. You read so many stories [about showbiz]. I think the writer [Sri Rao] has taken these [instances], and woven them in Anamika’s life. It’s an exaggerated depiction; not all film people are like that,” Madhuri told the publication.

The Bollywood actress also spoke about real life fame and said that it has never impacted her life negatively. She says that to her family and her art are more important and fame has never been her priority.

Having returned to India in 2011 years after marriage to give her career in Bollywood a second chance, Madhuri has always distanced her personal life from her professional one.

Post the 90s Madhuri reunites on screen with actor Sanjay Kapoor in The Fame Game and will alsi be seen having an affair with Manav Kaul who also plays an actor on the show. The Fame Game arrives on Netflix on February 25.
