The star cast comprises Manisha Koirala , Aditi Rao Hydari , Richa Chadha , Sharmin Segal , Sanjeeda Shaikh, and Sonakshi Sinha . However, the first look despite all its opulence has received a mixed response from the netizens.

Talking about the same, the brief teaser introduces us to all five female protagonists who will be playing courtesans on the show. The tagline of the show reads, ‘When Courtesans Were Queens’ hinting that each and every female character will be a force to be reckoned with on the show. Cast seems a big let down.It would have been great to watch Rekha ji, Tabu, and Ash come together with others.” Another comment said, “I was expecting Rekha Ji.” Taking a dig at the presence of Sonakshi in the cast, a user said, “Everything is going good until I saw Sonakshi.”

A fan, however, expressed excitement for the show too by saying, “Looks Amazing! Can’t wait for the album.” It was earlier reported that actor Fardeen Khan will be also making a comeback with Heeramandi. The show is reportedly based on the life of courtesans during the pre-Independence era.
