Samuel L. Jackson reveals that War Machine will be appearing in the upcoming Secret Invasion show
In a recent interview, the actor talked about his appreciation for the cast of the show as well as confirmed that Don Cheadle will be returning as War Machine
In the comic, The Kree have over many years infiltrated and replaced many of the Avengers and their allies which makes the premise of the show very interesting as it adds a layer of mystery
The former head of SHIELD Nick Fury played by Samuel L. Jackson must gather allies and stop the Kree at all costs.
Samuel L. Jackson shared his love for his fellow cast members by saying
"C'mon man, you walk on the set, Emilia’s amazing...Ben Mendelsohn, he’s awesome."
He went on to add, "Don, Don Cheadle. I got Don, that’s my golf buddy. I didn’t realize it, but 'til we did this thing, I was like, 'We’ve never worked together.' We just kinda know each other, hang out and laugh," Jackson continued, "But we’d never worked together and we finally [got to work together]."
The character will also play the lead in the upcoming show Machine Wars for Disney + which is a prequel set before the events of Avengers: End Game and will be similar to show What If ? focusing on what would happen if Tony Stark'stechnology got into the wrong hands.
It is most likely we will see more of the character will also have a big role in the upcoming Iron Heart show which will focus on Iron Man's successor - a 15-year-old engineering student Riri Williams.
Kyle Bradstreet will be the showrunner for Secret Invasion and the main cast of the show includes Samuel L. Jackson, Ben Mendelsohn, Cobie Smulders, Martin Freeman, and Don Cheadle.
The supporting cast includes Kingsley Ben-Adir, Olivia Colman, Emilia Clarke , Killian Scott, Christopher McDonald, and Carmen Ejogo.
The show will consist of six episodes and will premier in the latter half of 2022 on Disney+.
