    After making it big in Bollywood, actor Shahid Kapoor is all set to make his debut on the digital platform with Raj Nidimoru and Krishna DK’s upcoming web series Farzi.

    After delivering yet another hit with his last release Jersey , actor Shahid Kapoor is now busy gearing up for his debut on the digital platform. He will be headlining the much awaited web series Farzi , which is being helmed by dynamic filmmaker duo Raj Nidimoru and Krishna DK. The crime drama, which also stars South superstar Vijay Sethupathi and actress Raashi Khanna, will be releasing on streaming platform Amazon Prime Video . It is Raj and DK’s second series after The Family Man .

    Well, in a recent chat with Hindustan Times, Shahid revealed why he signed Farzi. He shared that he’s been working for two decades and at the moment, as audience, he is enjoying watching OTT content. And he likes to do what he enjoys. So naturally he began looking for similar material. Sharing his excitement for his digital venture, which is like making a debut all over again, Shahid stated, “That too in a different format altogether, where people will see me in over eight-nine episodes.”

    But did you know that the filmmaker duo did not call him for a series? Shahid was quoted saying, “I had loved Raj and DK’s The Family Man 2. They called me for a film, I asked if they had a show for me. They went ‘really?’, and I said yes! It’s exciting to collaborate with people who are at the top of their game, and in India they are the best of the best.” It’s wonderful how things work out!

    Other than Farzi, the actor also has Ali Abbas Zafar ’s Bloody Daddy in his kitty.
