    Late actor Sidharth Shukla has been posthumously nominated for the ‘Best Actor Drama’ at the Indian Television Academy Awards 2022. The nomination came for his performance as Agastya Rao in the web series Broken But Beautiful 3.

    Sidharth is one of the 5 nominees in the ITA Awards for web shows and competes against actors like Manoj Bajpayee who has been nominated for The Family Man season 2 and Pankaj Tripathi for Criminal Justice: Behind Closed Doors. Other actors in the race for the trophy are Ravi Dubey who outdid himself with Matsyakand and Divyendu Sharma in the celebrated web series Mirzapur season 2.

    Nominees for 'Best Actor Drama' category for ITA Awards 2022

    Sidharth Shukla debuted in the digital space in 2021 after years of being a television star. He was seen playing a theatre director with loads of attitude who settles for nothing less than perfect and falls in love with Rumi the leading lady of his project. The series which premiered on ALT Balaji and MX Player in May last year quickly became one of Sidharth’s most favourite performances.

    Seeing his name in the nominations, fans of the late actor who miss him dearly flooded the comments section already declaring him the winner of the category.

    Sidharth who was supposed to return for another season as Agastya Rao in Broken and Beautiful 4, tragically died on September 2, 2021 after suffering a heart attack at home at the age of 40. Some of his unreleased projects and several tributes has seen been released in his name while millions of his loyal fans have vouched to keep his legacy alive.

    A premiere date is yet to be set for the upcoming ITA Awards which are being held after a gap of two years owing to the pandemic.
