Sushmita Sen gave an ‘embarrassing yes’ to Aarya in just 5 minutes; says ‘I felt like I manifested Aarya’

One of Bollywood’s most talented, versatile and adored actresses, Sushmita Sen made her comeback to our screens last year with Ram Madhvani ’s crime-thriller drama series Aarya . As expected, she won our hearts and left us wanting more with her phenomenal performance. The gripping story-line was lauded by critics as well as fans and the show was recently nominated for International Emmy Awards. Much to our delight, Sushmita returned as Aarya Sareen for season two and once again proved that there is no one like her. The actress channelized her tigress avatar for the character and blew us away, making us fall in love with her all over again!

Many fans feel that the role of Aarya Sareen was specially made for Sushmita and can’t imagine another actress play this character. Well, even Sushmita knew how special the story was and agreed to be a part of the series within 5 minutes of her meeting with the makers. In a chat with Bollywood Hungama , the actress revealed, “I went and met Mr. Ram Madhvani and his wife and Co-producer Amita Madhvani and within flat five minutes, I was an embarrassing yes. My team was sitting with me and said, ‘Could you have taken at least an hour? Like not be so enthusiastic?’ I was like no but I love it.”

Sushmita explained, “I've been waiting for 10 years for something that gets me this excited. And so why pretend. I love it and I wanted to do it and I don't want them to make it with anyone else. So at that point, honestly, I felt like I manifested Aarya.” She went on to add that she is a big fan of the filmmaker’s nature and feels he is gifted.

Well, just like her fans, we hope Sushmita reunites with Madhvani soon for the third and much anticipated season of Aarya!
