Urfi Javed takes strict action against man who threatened to kill her on social media, tags Mumbai Police to investigate

Urfi Javed is known to put the social media trolls in their place and often puts her opinions loud and clear. The actress-model took strict action against a social media user who used derogatory language against her and then also threatened to kill her in the name of religion. This took place after Urfi condemned the brutal murder of a Udaipur-based tailor called Kahaiya Lal by extremist men after the former had showcased his support for Nupur Sharma.

The actress had strongly criticized the horrifying incident on her social media account and stated that extremism in any man-made belief such as religion will only cause destruction. Urfi Javed went on to receive a death threat by a user soon after that post. The user had called the former Bigg Boss OTT contestant a ‘Chudail’ (witch) and had supported the beheading of the tailor.

Urfi Javed shared the screenshot of the Instagram user’s message to her. The Kumkum Bhagya actress wrote, “I’m going to file a police complaint against this guy for supporting and threatening to kill in the name of religion. This should be a lesson for all you extremists out there. Enjoy your jail time Sajid @mumbaipolice.” Take a look at Urfi’s post.

The actress’ initial posts condemning the incident had stated, “Where are we heading to? Allah didn’t ask you to hate and kill in his name.” The Daayan actress had furthermore shared another brief post wherein she wrote, “People killing and hating in the name of their religions and Gods (their imaginary friends). Seriously like what? Why aren’t we talking about education, women empowerment, fast-track cases for rapes, and GDP? Religions were made so that people have moral and ethical sense. In today’s times, your religion is taking away your morality and ethics. Extremism in any man-made belief such as religion will only cause destruction. Never too late, open your eyes people, I know I’ll be getting a lot of hate after this but guess that at least I’m not filled with hate like you all extremist.”
