Aanand L Rai scared of Akshay Kumar as the actor fixes cushion on his seat, Kapil Sharma asks, "Director bhi dara ke rakhe hue hain aapne?"

Filmmaker Aanand L. Rai accompanied Akshay Kumar and Sara Ali Khan to The Kapil Sharma Show for the promotions of their upcoming film Atrangi Re that releases next week. Akshay felt right at home being on the show as he frequently visits the show for his various releases in a year while the episode marked Aanand L. Rai’s debut on the comedy special.

The actor was seen fixing the cushion on Aanand’s seat to which the filmmaker asked him, “Kya kar are ho bhai? (what are you doing)” to which Kapil responded saying, “Ye toh Akshay sir ki mohabbat hai aapke liye (This is his love for you).” The filmmaker didn’t waste a second when he said, “Nahi, inse daar lagta hai (No, I am scared of him),” making everyone in the studio laugh.

Kapil too didn’t miss a beat when he asked Akshay, “Director bhi dara ke rakhe hain aapne (You have scared the directors too?).”

Akshay Kumar and Aanand L. Rai have worked together for the first time on the film Atrangi Re which is a love triangle also featuring Sara and South star Dhanush . After the movie, Akshay and Aanand re-united quickly for the film Rakshabandhan also starring Bumi Pednekar which will in all probability release in cinemas in 2022.

Meanwhile, Atrangi Re is headed for a digital release on Disney + Hotstar on December 24.
