Shahid Kapoor and Mrunal Thakur appeared on the Kapil Sharma Show a few weeks ago for the promotion of their film Jersey. While the movie might have not hit the cinemas as planned, the two actors did manage to entertain the audience candidly sharing their experiences from various films and making the audience laugh.

In an uncensored video from the show which didn’t make the cut on the episode has Kapil asking Shahid a hilarious question about romancing his heroines on a moving bike. Shahid who has previously delivered a blockbuster with Kabir Singh has a famous sequence where he can be seen romancing Kiara on a moving bike, the trailer of his film Jersey also teases of one such scene with Mrunal Tahkur.

Kapil asked Shahid, “Aapko, naa aap bike rok pa rahe hain, naa aap romance rok pa rahe hain (what was the hurry that you couldn’t stop the bike or stop romancing) …” The actor smiled broadly before replying, “Humare saath aiesa hota tha ki who police wale, unko pata nahi hota tha ki shooting chal rahi hai aur who upset ho jate they toh uske baad him bache wala scene bike wala shoot kar lete they, diretact karne ke liye ki ‘dekho main toh baap hoon mera bacha hai … (It has happened that sometimes the police couldn’t make out that we are shooting something and would get upset and that is when they shot the sequence with the kid one the bike to distract them).”

In a rather candid mood, Shahid also spoke about feeling trapped after making a promise to a director to do their film when asked by Kapil. He said, “He said I wish aiesa hua hota ki main phaas jata (after promising) lekin maine who filmein kar li … in 23 saal mein kin galtiyon ko bhugta hai … ki aap ek baar haan bol do toh phir aap naa nahi bol sakte (I wish I could say I was trapped but I said yes to those films … in 23 years I have had to suffer such mistakes because I couldn’t say no after saying yes).”

Shahid and Mrunal’s Jersey was to release on 31 December 2021 but got postponed after the surge in Covid-19 cases. The makers are yet to announce a new release date.
